2026 International Medical Metabolism Conference: Bringing Together Leading Global Scholars to Explore Advances in Metabolic Research

Metabolic dysregulation is a key driving force underlying numerous major diseases. From cancer progression and immune regulation to the physiological changes associated with aging, the maintenance of metabolic network homeostasis has long been a central focus of biomedical research. In recent years, breakthroughs in spatial multi-omics and systems biology technologies have enabled researchers to investigate metabolic networks and health from entirely new dimensions, opening up novel opportunities for precision medicine.

The 2026 International Medical Metabolism Conference, hosted by the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), will be held on May 13–14, 2026. We are honored to invite a distinguished group of world-renowned experts to share and discuss the latest breakthroughs in the field of metabolic medicine through in-depth presentations and academic exchange.

Four Core Scientific Themes:

  • Frontiers in Cancer Metabolism
  • Regulation of Mitochondrial Function in Disease
  • Innovative Discoveries in Immunometabolism
  • Metabolic Mechanisms in Nutrition and Aging

Distinguished Keynote Speakers:

  • M. Celeste Simon – Investigator, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, USA
  • Sarah-Maria Fendt – Investigator, VIB KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology, Campus Gasthuisberg, Belgium
  • Marcia C. Haigis – Professor, Harvard Medical School, USA
  • Luke O’Neill – Chair of Biochemistry, Trinity College Dublin, Irish
  • Kun-Yu Wu – Academician, Academia Sinica; Honorary Investigator, NHRI
  • Hsing-Chien Gong – Academician, Academia Sinica; Chair Professor, Taipei Medical University

This symposium aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, serving as a bridge between academia, clinical practice, and industry. By promoting the translation of basic research into clinical applications, the meeting seeks to advance the long-term development of metabolic medicine. We warmly invite researchers and experts from all fields to join us and explore the future directions of metabolic medicine together.
